About Me

A member of the American Law Institute, and a Fellow with the American Bar Foundation, Mary Margaret Penrose serves as a tenured professor of law at Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth. She teaches a wide range of courses, from Constitutional Law to Criminal Procedure. She holds a number of administrative positions, including faculty advisor for the Student Bar Association. Since joining Texas A&M in 2009, Mary Margaret (Meg) Penrose has garnered three Most Outstanding Upper-Level Professor awards and Association of American Law Schools Teacher of the Year honors.

Ms. Penrose maintains an active media presence as a legal expert and commentator. In 2015, she appeared in USA Today and Anderson Cooper 360 and given interviews for various local publications on such topics as religious liberty, same-sex marriage and the Boston Marathon trial.

Meg Penrose completed her JD at Pepperdine University School of Law, where she was Managing Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review. She also obtained an LLM at Notre Dame Law School with an international human rights concentration.
